I posted this originally as a reply to another thread on gauge problems, but I'm not sure if it had been seen.

I have been researching this problem abit, as I just started getting a problem similar, but not exactly.
Tonight when waiting in the drive through I noticed that my TAch laid down below 0 RPM, regardless of engine speed.
I tried restarting and the tach would com back on but wouldnt go above 0, and when revved, it would gradually go back to buried way below 0.
This doesnt sound like the same problem others are having as my speedo and other gauges are still working and lights are coming on.
Could this still be caused by the batteries (originals) or possibly the TSB on the IP?
Thanks for any help in advance, hopefully some one else has dealt with this already and can lend some guidence.

Sounds more of a cluster problem or maybe a Tach Signal problem.
