I want to change to TranSynd in my Allison. Is there a good way to make the change without dropping the pan?

Yes, drop the fluid in the pan, add Transynd, drive it a couple of hundred miles (~200 or so), then drain the pan a second time and refill. That is officially considered a complete changeout. Not 100% by any means, but considered good-to-go. You do not need to drop the pan at all.

Sounds good, I think that’s what I’ll end up doing. Thanks for the help

New Allison spec fluid is TranSynd-668, fully backwards compatible with our transmission and the old TES-295 spec. I've found it for $28.99 at local Allison distributor.
