Have a 02 crew shortbed 4wd. Bought a superchip programmer. Love the power on high(approx 80+ hp). But crusin at 70 to 80 mph, a full pedal downshift from 5 to 4 will apparently slip a bit and set a tranny code and shut down 5th gear. I erase the codes and then all is well. But I wonder if this is "normal" or if my ally is perhaps a bit weak up there. Or if I should just keep my foot away from the floor at that speed. All other shifts are quick and tight, even hammering wide open from a start. Any comments appreciated. Del

o man do a search on limp to start. How many times have you done this. Tha ally can only handle about 90hp over staock and it is very week up top. Now that the tranny is damnaged keep foot out of it of back down on the power. It is time for aftermarket tranny if you want to run high hp now. Once the tranny is limped once it just get easier and easier.

Have done it twice. Pulled into the driveway and it wouldn"t even go into rev. Ok now. The damb thing kicks A everywhere else though. I just use it for work, but need to get up and go.
