Looking real good there👍What brand injectors are you using?I bought a reman set from Napa recently that I plan to shim and get the pop pressure rather close to each other just to have as a spare set in case I ever need them.I guess it doesn’t hurt to have a few parts laying around but I think I’m a 6.2/6.5 parts hoarder…..lol

Thanks.

Bosch.
Dont have the part number at hand, but its the same that you can find in the 6.5 hammerhead 300, 310, 330hp versions.

Its better to have enough of what you like and enjoy (y)

Thanks!
Been working my ass off with this car since i bought it a year ago. Started the engine build in april i think. Just got it up and running a couple of weeks ago with a couple of short test drives.
Figured out fast that i need to improve the box so thats in progress now.
Just wondering if i really need an custom built triple disc billet torque converter or if there is other options?

Car is heavy and i will be towing some weight from time to time also.

I was hoping to see a tach in that photo of the dash. Extremely difficult to find an OEM one. And nice job on the "multi-lingual". Very impressive. I have no idea, but I'm guessing..."Norway?...Sweden?" " Holland?"
Can't imagine the price of diesel fuel over there. Bad enuff around here.
Good luck with the install.

I didnt even know there was oem tach's for the dash so thats why i went for that one.
Guessing that an oem one would be a little higher than 4k rpm and i wanted something close to my range.
Thanks, and the install is more or less completed.
Had to redo the doghouse a couple of times and make some adjustments to the lower part of the mid console.
Currently working on building a new gearbox..
Got it all apart yesterday and will be ordering some new parts for it today.
Decided to go for the fast ez tcu kit, some alto rebuild kit, jegs 300m input shaft and the sonnax forged forward clutch hub kit.
As for the torque converter i have not decided yet.

Its norway.
Diesel is close to 20nkr pr liter
Thats like 76nkr for a gallon or with todays currency about 8,50usd a gallon.

Super cool project! Curious what kind of boost you are running max, and when it begins to kick in?

A little above 15 psi at the moment.
Its charging 2-3psi at idle and it kicks good from idle.
Its nothing like an ordinary 6.2diesel.
There is also some more work to this engine than just the charger with cooler..
Larger cam, custom piston squirters, forged heat treated crank, obviously the ip..

As suspected the original box and or the torque converter did not last long.
Did a 40-140kmh pull at wot the other day and the next day it only went a couple of hundred meters before i lost all gears.

Gonna check pressure on box before i start pulling it tomorrow for an better picture of what went out.

As for torque converter i have found one from floridatorqueconverters that they say will last for my setup. Part number: 34-23SD .
