It is a transmission upgrade that changes some valving and adds clutches to some of the weaker ones and adds a triple lock torque convertor which is superior to the single disc factory one. The tc also has a billit cover that is much stronger by design. These and some other changes enable you run power adders that add more than 125 rwhp without the fear of slipping the tranny and causing it to go into limp mode. I have more than 14k miles on my suncoast and run daily with 425 plus rwhp with absolutely no slip or limp....my truck has run a 8.39 in the 1/8 mile at 82 mph with a curb weight of 7250lbs including driver. You have never felt the full power of hot juice with a stock tranny, it defuels lots in fifth to keep the tranny from going limp. Hope this helps. defuels based on slip........no slip no defuel.....it will defuel when shifting but that can be removed with the attitude.......mine is set for no defuel......I really dont know about the other quad tunes I run the 215 with the edge 145 and have run the 135 with the edge 145 stacked noticed no defueling..dave
