I am wondering the same thing. I was looking into new pumps since mine may be getting tired in its old age. I am wanting EFI but for now it's not in the budget so my PPE and EDGE combo is going to have to stay.

No experience with a modded pump on my truck, but have read threads over the past year telling that the longevity of the modded pumps isnt the best.

Wish I had more time with mine but so far it hasn't skipped a beat. Idk how modding these pumps affects the internal parts but seeing that they make a 200% over pump now I would think longevity of a 42% pump is not a large concern of the manufacturers unless they have no regard for offering good products that last
