Just wanted everybody’s thoughts on this product. It is made by a company named Tech Tube i want to get some steps for my truck that will last. I ran a crossed this company out of Texas never heard of them before and wanted to see if anybody else has or not. Posted below is the link to their page. Tell me what you think about them and if they are worth the money.

They just look like a standard tube type step to me. I have on a similar type. They are fine for the dry, but if you have some mud on the old work boots, look out. I have almost busted my *** on several ocassions from slipping on them. I am getting ready to fab some up with expanded metal in the step areas for extra grip.

For what it's worth, I have the dealer/factory installed bars on mine, and wish I had the ones that run all the way back to the rear wheel well. It makes getting stuff out of the bed so much easier.

I will second that. My next set will be all the way to the rear wheels. between the lift and larger tires, I have to stand on the tire in order to get anything out of the bed from the side.

I have a set of black tech tubes on my 04, which the dealer installed for me before I picked it up new off the lot. Functionally, they work fine, but if you're in a climate that gets snow like me, watch out for rust. Both bars started rusting within 2 years, right where they curve to go onto the frame at the back end. It's from the snow that builds-up there when it's thrown from the front tires back under the mud flaps, even though I knock it off regularly. Dealer is checking on warranty as we speak.

Take at a look at www.dealsofsteel.com I have had the wheel to wheel on my truck for almost 2 years with no issues. They're stainless and i think they're $299 shipped.

Have tech tubes on my truck, they are good, but a word of caution the top part that is there for you to step on is way too small. Trust me it hurts like a b**** when they are slippery and you fall.

i took a peice of chain and tacked it to the frame where the normal step bar would go, this allows for easy acces to lifted trucks, but also prevents getting hung up on something while mudding! the welds are strong enough to hold me, but weak enough to breack if they get hung up which doesnt happen to often

those are just like plain westin bars. had westins on my 03 z71 and where good bars. i have n-fabs now on my 2500 that run all the way to the back and is a great help for getting things in tool box and bed. which ever brand you go with id suggest the ones to the back wheels if you get things outa the truck often.

Putco "Boss Bars" 4" Wheel to Wheel Stainless Nerfs. I have em on my Dually, and I think they look great. They're massive and sturdy. If you don't mind spending the bucks (expensive) they are the way to go.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Which manufacturer makes this type of bar?

Would like to know where you could find 5'' step tubes for 2006 Dodge Mega Cab
Dodge actually offers them as a factory option and they will warranty the against rust. They're beefy looking too.
