Every vehicle I've ever had has always had an adjustment to minimize the slack in the steering box. Having all new joints and the works up front I figured I would adjust the box to remove the last bit of slack.

After inspect there is no obvious adjuster screw and lock nut, there is a screw on the underside near the input shaft that 'may' be a possibility. Instead of randomly turning things I asked my friend Google... found no information on adjusting these steering boxes.

Are they adjustable?

There is an old thread on here about this . . . guessing 2 or 3 years ago. I don't recall the answer right now.

Best I can tell, it might be that you remove the lock nut at the input shaft and there is a pin-wrench style nut/ring that preloads the bearing. The screw near the input shaft on the underside 'might' be used to add drag when centered.

Not much information out there... hopefully someone with real knowledge chimes in.
