Does this sound right?.....Did a search and it sounds like $400+ is a bit steep. I think it's a legit diagnosis, just didn't think I'd need a jar of vaseline when I took it in.....

I'm afraid it's gunna leave me walkin..........I'd never be able to make a public appearance in front of the Ford crowd again......:eek: :rolleyes:

Sounds to me like someone does not know how to diagnose or read the definition of a code. It is very rare for that solenoid to go bad.

Mike....

Thanks for the note......I couldn't find any info on replacement of the pressure control solenoid "A" part....

Are these all the same (solenoids)??.....I wish I understood more about what's going on in that transmission.....

The A trim solenoid is not the same as any others in the tranmission. Call the dealer and ask for the parts department and ask for a price on the solenoid. It takes about an hour to change it out if it's needed.
