I bought this truck this summer.....had a couple of problems.......huge tires though 315's......i get about 8 miles to the gallon......do i need to recalibrate for the bigger tire size....any help would be good....if it helps i have these codes


codes
17 high res cht fail
10 cam ref pulse error
19 crank ref error
35 inj pw short
49 sts lamp cht fault
86 low ratio error-injector

17, 18, 19, and 35 are Inj Pump errors, quite possibly caused by your frequent stops at macdonald's and burger king for fuel.

As mentioned previously, run some real Diesel fuel thru the system for couple tanks to clean the spicy chicken bits outta the IP, and go thru the wiring and harnesses for some required cleanup and maintenance

The 86 is transmission, where PCM is reading wrong frequencies from speed sensors in the transmission - may also be connections, so get up under the truck and pull the plugs to see what's the problem.

Could also possibly be the VSSB needs adjusting, if you've been ignoring the speedo because it's wrong - PCM wouldn't be happy with that, either.

Remember - in that cab, PCM is yer significant other, no two ways about it.
