i turned my truck on yesterday around noon and the speakers wouldnt work. i checked the amp fuse and it was fine. i would switch between xm, cd, and am/fm, and it would show the songs playing and even show the timer on the cd track, but there was no sound. checked the mute button, turned the truck on and off three times. still no sound. i parked at school and came back around 5, turned truck on and radio worked. i think it was in november or sometime around there i was riding in my friends tahoe (think its an 03) and the speakers cut out when we were driving. did all the same things and his started working the next day. i am wondering if there is an electrical short or something else going on. i did a search and couldnt find anything similar to this. anyone have any ideas.

Bose stereo? Yes/no?

if you have the Bose stereo it could be an intermittant short in the amp turn on wire (PINK wire in the radio harness).
