I really don't have a clue what this is but when in 4x4 only, there is a clicking sound, coming from the area just above my knees when driving. It is intermittent and kind of sparatic.. *click.... click click............... click.....clickclickclick...............................click ..click.*

I sounds like a solenoid... I think??

Anyone have any experience with this sort of occurance?

Thanks,
J.

That doesn't sound so bad... (I hope???)

Can anyone put me at ease here?

Possibly hvac...

Of all the times I have seen a clicking, it can be the mode actuator on the side of the a/c case. It could have a bad feedback sensor or lost its calibration. You should have the codes in the hvac module retrieved. One thing you could try is when the click is present, moved the mode to another setting and see if it goes away. If it does, then you have your problem diagnosed. If not, then it is something else.
