I saw something new to me on my way home tonight. On a crew cab Dakota, a guy had a canvas "topper" installed. It was shaped like your typical hard shell topper, but was definately canvas. It had the flimsy clear vinyl windows on the side and rear like you find in a lot of convertibles. I don't know what kind of strut system it has to keep it's shape, but it was taut at 40 mph. It was fastened all around with snaps like you would have with an old style soft tonneau cover.
Does anyone know anything about this set-up? I can see it being useful the 2-3 times a year I wish my bed was covered.
