Finally with all needed parts for the frame shortening I did the cut..... details will follow later on...

if you are really making a reg cab short bed d/a:eek::drop_mout , i am going to nominate you for THE PRESIDENT OF THE REG CAB CLUB!!!!! or at least a outstanding member award of some sort. :ro)

My buddy just did a reg cab short bed cummins. pretty slick.

I'm glad to see it getting under way Lennart. Get the Whipple on the other truck? How's it running?

You guys guessed it right...it will be a reb cab short bed :D

Michael,
the Whipple is installed waiting for injectors to arrive to complete the install....besides that issue with the cable throttle.

Ran into sume minor issues as I did not expect the frame to be wider towards the rear...not much but still enough to not being able to weld it right in place.

yea i had the same issue when i did my back half but here's it's an easy fix

Lennart im curious why you didnt angle the cut, wouldnt that be stronger than a straight drop cut perpendicular to the rails?

or fishmouth it...

I cut it just like GM did....just removing 355.2mm of the mid section.

bought the truck with a flatbed, will put on a regular bed now.

Don't worry I have a fleetside bed. I was really wanting a Quadrasteer bed but those are almost impossible to locate !

Now that would be cool... Could fit some nice fatties back there for traction. Of course I'm kinda biased. lol I'vegot a Quadrasteer sitting in my garage. And I still think a stepside Duramax would be *****in'.
