I know the Bilstiens threads are below but I was just curious as to why on J/K's site where he has the Bilstiens marketing blurb, does it say QUOTE: "

Since our inception over 40 years ago, Bilstein has been a unique and driving force in the automotive suspension industry. From racing and testing in Formula 1, NASCAR, SCCA, Rally, and Off Road to original equipment on BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Subaru, Toyota and GM trucks, Bilstein Gas Pressure Shock Absorbers haven proven to be the best.

" Note the "Original Equipment list.. It says GM trucks..?

Z71 package uses Bilstein shocks. I think ZR2 as well.

the pre-'99 Z-71's used the Bilsteins. Switched to the red Tennecos after that.

My father put Bilsteins on his '00 S-10 4wd (not ZR2 package) and really likes them. The factorys all developed leaks and the dealer upgraded him to the Bilsteins.
