My new truck has RANCHO shocks installed ('20 LTZ 4wd crew cab long bed Texas edition).
Are these normal OEM shocks?

My last truck, an '04 LS 2wd crew cab long bed, had some generic shocks which I replaced with the yellow Bilsteins.
They were a nice upgrade.

Are Ranchos a good shock? I have no clue.
How do they compare to Bilsteins?

My 2021 1/2 ton RST has the Ranchos. They come with some upgrade to the z71 suspension. I don't like the front end float. I may change them out to the 5100 Bilsteins I've had on the older trucks.

My 2021 LT has the same issue with front end float with the Z71 package on it. I'm looking for shocks to stop that when I tow my TT.

I removed the rear Rancho shocks on my 2021 3500 in the first few hundred miles and replaced them with the yellow Bilsteins. I have not replaced the front Rancho shocks yet. My understanding is that the Rancho shocks that GMC install are an OEM shock made for GMC but lacking the better performance features of the usual Rancho shocks.
