I am having an issue with my tranny and am wondering if this is normal. When I drive the truck first thing in the morning when the torque converter locks up it shifts really really hard and the truck surges forward pretty bad. Once the tranny temp goes up a little bit it locks up fine smooth. Any ideas? I warm the truck up for a bit every morning before heading out. Just doesnt seem normal to me, truck has 5000 miles on it. Dont drive it hard, this is in normal driving conditions.

Any when I say cold I mean So. Cal cold.. so morning temps of mid 40's to 50's.
