well the other day i got in my truck and i couldnt get my truck out of park, i had to move the steering wheel up and down yank and wiggle the shifter to get it out of park?? any idea's what the problem could be??

It could be the relay that lets you shift once you put your foot on the brake pedel.

how do i go about fixing it?? can i do it myself??
