A couple of weeks ago I pulled out of the driveway with the truck still plugged in. I found out last night my block heater is not working as my truck would not start. I am picking up a new cord today at the dealership My questions are this:

1. How hard is the cord to replace? as it is -7 here in Michigan today and it will be after work when I am doing this ( Truck does not fit in the garage)

2. Can I take the fuel filter off and un-thaw it or should I pick up a new fuel filter as well.

Thanks

You must replace your filter, thawing it out is just delaying the innevatable.

you can probably just buy an new plug end from a hardware store, instead of installing an entire new cord. It will be a lot easier and cheaper.

Hope this helps

Get the new filter, it is money well spent. Don't want to go a couple weeks in this cold and get stuck out on the roads some place.
