I'm having a Viper 791XV installed on Thursday. I've seen the tremendous reviews for the AstroStart here, but couldn't find anyone nearby that I trusted/liked who was familiar with 'em. Many here have said the installer is as important, if not more so, than the equipment itself, so I decided to stick with a guy I like, and his preferred system. I understand they're basically all the same stuff anyway, so . . .

My question is what to connect to the three auxiliary circuits.

I'd like to be able to crack the windows and crank the a/c on remote starts in the summer. Will this take two of those three circuits, or can it be arranged as a single function?

I'd also like to have the truck start every hour or so, and run for some pre-determined amount of time (say, 10 minutes or so) and shut off, without my input. Is that too much to ask?

Aside from any of that, I'd be interested in any info. any of you have about the 791XV, specifically, with respect to this truck.

The Clarion Ungo systems have an option to short run every hour or two to prevent freeze. If they're all made by DEI then I would bet the Viper would do the same. I miss the remote start I had on my F**d more than anything so I'm itching to do the same. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see where you end up with your aux outputs.

That's good to hear. My installer actually had the Clarion Ungo systems as well, and did say the two are manufactured by the same folks and use the same components, so I'd imagine you're right.
