Not sure exactly what it is, its coming from the front of the truck, just in front of the rad. Its from one of the hoses going to what looks like another small rad. Im not sure if its a transmission cooler, or for the A/C? It only seems to leak a few drops when i stop and park the truck, and other than that its fine. Any ideas, anyone?

Funny you say this. I just noticed this for the first time on my new truck this morning. Exact same thing and same location. Just about to post it myself.

WIth out a doubt it sounds to becoming from the transmission cooler from your discription. Is it coming from the fittings or hose? Either way I would have the dealer fix if still under warranty.

had mine in today and all they said was they couldnt find it leaking!!! and to monitor it. wtf!! i guess i imagined the red spots on the snow under my truck. i even seen the cooler lines were wet and red. i dunno it seems to always take 2 times at the dealer to get 1 problem fixed. next time i see the red ill just drive till it blows the tranny them make them fix it.

I see some vehicles coming in with leaking cooler lines and the dealer I work at stocks them. They were on back order to the factory earlier this winter. The long cooler line between the upper trans fitting and the aux cooler in front of the intercooler is a major pain to change. the other two only take aout a half hour to change. If you have a red fluid leak in behind the skid plate on the pass side it is normally the trans cooler lines. Normally the lower one between the trans lower fitting and the lower rad fitting will leak first (don't know why but that's what I've seen)

I just had 3 lines changed yesterday on my 06 LBZ that were leaking. Service advisor said they have had a huge problem with these on the 2006 trucks and he has done over 30 units this month.

I live in Calgary and the weather was -30 when it started happening. I wonder if the cold temperatures have something to do with it.

My dealer said today my 1 hose replacement is in but he says he needs 3-4 hours for the job.Hard to believe it would take this long.Anyone else on this?

The one hose is a pain to get the clip out of the radiator, but 3-4 hour job, no. However, that may not be why they are telling you 3-4 hours, sometimes you have to allow for other jobs and such, so they are giving you more of a window like cable companies and such do.

No,that's not it.I'm friendly with the service mgr. there and I know their routine--no BS.When I was under there,it most definitely didn't look like more than 15 minutes to me.If they'd give me the hose,I'd do it myself to avoid the hassle of either waiting or trailering my truck there. I know they won't do that though.
