I have a Rector 500gf water fule separator on my 89 6.2 chevy c1500. sometime in the past a mechanic had to re-prime the fuel system. After that point there has been times (truck not in use) I’ve noticed i seem to loose a prime. I have a small aluminum ball floating freely int the Rector. I vaguely remember that that ball is a check valve and its suppose to be i think in the up—ward fule throat. Is that correct? It floats fine. That is a picture of a quater for reference.
