Walked outside yesterday and noticed a small puddle underneath my truck, got down and looked to see where it was coming from and noticed it was coming from the rear seal on the tranny. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how long will it take the dealer to fix? Will I be without for a while or is it a quick fix? Also does the dealer have the know how to fix the allison or do they have to send it out? Any info would be great..

I'm assuming you have 2WD drive.

Before taking it to the dealer make it was really from the rear seal and not the breather. There's a mushroom cap at the 10 o'clock position on the back of the trans that acts as a pressure relief. If the transmission gets hot or is overfilled with fluid it will sometimes come out of there.

If it is the rear seal it should be a simple fix, providing your dealer has the tools and parts. I'd call ahead first before taking it in.
