I have a 97 CC LB DRW GMC. It has 4.10s in it right now that howl so lowd its annoying. I have a chance to get another rear end and i was thinking of putting 3.73s in it and swaping the rears for better fuel econmy at highway speeds. So does anyone have 3.73s in there Crewcab long bed and how do you like it? Do you lose alot of low end power that it would make driving it suck? The only real thing that i tow with it is a open car trailer with my wagon or a VW bug.

You should be able to tow that no problem. I'd like to find some 3.42's for my CC 3500, does anyone know where to buy them? I have 3.42's in one of my 2500's and like them and the fuel milage.

I've got 3.73's in my 94 2500 long box, and I pull 10k (fifth wheel) with it without problems. That's AFTER I added a chip, turbo-master, and exhaust, though.

You should be OK.
