I have the two piece plastic that goes on top of the rear bumper (new). I had a new bumper put on and the new plastic piece did not have the lip on it and I had them put the old one back on if any one needs one without the lip I have one let me know make an offer.

How hard is it to apply and remove the bumper plastic?

I watched the bodyshop guy and looked easy to do. There are plastic plugs that go into the bumper, pinch them together and the plastic cover comes right off he used a set of needle nose pliers that had a 90' bend to them. Hope this helps. I don't think you have to remove the bumper. (On edit) I think the ones with no lip on them are for 1500 but not 100% sure.
