Is there a rear drum brake set up for 2500HD's. After market that is. The only time GM trucks with rear disc brakes seem to stop good is when the brakes are new. My 05 1500 has rear drum brakes and with 50,000 miles on it , stops on a dime .

You want to replace disks with drums? Disks have much better stopping power than drums. Also, the front brakes do most of the work. If you can't do it yourself, take your truck to a mechanic and have your brakes checked. Changing from disks to drums isn't going to help anything.

just got it back 2weeks ago from dealer, they replaced all 4 rotors , pads, and hardware. I've bought new gm trucks every other year since 1995 and when GM went to rear disc brakes i've had problems. No mileage out of rear pads becuse of rusted slides. GM replaced under warranty which is fine but they never fix the problem. In 2005 the 1/2 tons went to rear drum which fixed the problem. So i just was wondering if there is a way to install drum brakes on a HD.
