just to let everyone know, raptor (made by U-POL) is the main supplier for line-x and Rhino. AND, its cheaper if your willing to save some $$$. 88 bucks to my door can cover 135sq feet of suerface.

Umm, no, you are WAY WAY off here. First of all, Raptor/U-POL is not the supplier to either Rhino or LINE-X. Also, Raptor is NOTHING like either Rhino or LINE-X. Raptor is a solvent based do-it-yourself bedliner stuff like Duplicolor, Herculiner, etc. These types of products are basically beefed up paint. LINE-X and Rhino are professional products that use special application equipment (and do not contain any solvents). Comparing LINE-X or Rhino to any of the DIY products is like trying to compare a Corvette to a go-cart.

LINE-X (resin and isocyanate) is manufactured by BASF Corporation according to LINE-X Franchise Development Corp.'s (LFDC) specifications. BASF sells to LFDC, LFDC sells to mastor franchisors who in turn sell to the individual dealers. And, u-pol is not a mastor franchisor. Trust me, I know this for an absolute fact.

If your "LINE-X dealer" is selling any other brand of bedliner, then he is violating the LINE-X franchise agreement. Chances are that if he is selling something other than LINE-X, then he is not a true LINE-X dealer.

Brian you just got owned :nutkick: haha. That is why line-x is so expnsive because it doesn't have any solvents and it dries in like 3-5 seconds. You should see my FORD i got some more stuff today and made it bright red and the whole frame and everything is bright red raptor liner. It looks bad axx.

I'll tell you something about these solvent based products like Raptor Liner. If you look at the MSDS, it shows 520 g/l of VOC's and 683 g/l of solids. That means that 43% of the product evaporates away. So, if you buy one gallon, you actually only end up with 60% of the gallon as the bedliner product. You paid about $100 for a one gallon kit.

To compare, LINE-X sprays about 4.5 gallons in a short bed truck and the product is 100% solids. Let's say the price is $450 for LINE-X. To apply 4.5 gallons of solids of Raptor, you will need to buy about 7.5 gallons of Raptor at a price of about $750 ($100/gallon). With Raptor, you will need about two days, paper, masking tape, sandpaper, acetone, gloves, etc. and there is no warranty. With LINE-X, it's done in about 3 hours and comes with a nationwide lifetime warranty.

so the line-x is a better dollar for dollar deal?

Not only is it a better deal dollar for dollar, but the professional products (except for a few) are WAY more durable than any of the solvent based Wallymart type bedliner products.
