Are you drag racers racing in tow/haul or not? Any particular reason?

Well, here is my take. Today I installed my dads HPP on level 3 which is the 90HP setting. From a stand still full throttle run w/o the T/H the shifts were....soft?? With the T/H on the shifts were firm and it rifled through the gears. I think the reason being that when engaged the T/C is locked in all gears instead of 3-4-5 without the T/H on.


Hey I'm no expert by far but I think someone else will chime in.

momac have you got any times without T/H? My fastest came with T/H off? I know we have a big differance in the trans dept. New ATS coming soon.

You could get lower ET's and faster trap speeds with a stock tranny with T/H mode off if the converter is slipping because it locks up in 2nd gear with T/H mode on.

My times have always been better in T/H. Generally good for at least a couple of tenths.

mtomac, is it harder on the tranny to drag in T/H?
