So here are my questions
1)Chevy started to put a cat on the duramaxes in 04 right?
2)Whyis it when some people remove them it throws codes?
3) What different set up does the 04 and newer trucks have on them that makes the truck throw the code? Is it because it doesnt have as enough or too much pressure somewhere?
I have a LB7 with a cat and I would like to remove it but dont want problems.

I removed the cat on my truck and I have no problems. I don't know if having an 04 had anything to do with the cat but I do know that all California emmision trucks had a cat. I think removing the cat only effects the LLY's because the back pressure is reduced.

Edit: My truck is Cali emissions and I have had the cat off for 5 months and it has not thrown any codes.

Does anyone know if removing the cat on my LB7 will cause codes like on the LLYs?

your truck must be a stricter emissions code vehicle like a CA or NE vehicle. So, your programming may be different and you might throw codes. I don't know for sure. I would pull it and see what happens;) Good luck
