I am looking at installing a pyro and boost gauge in my truck, most likely AutoMeter. Which is better (for the money) a mechanical or electronic boost gauge and do they both connect the same way. Also what size gauge is required for the Socal billet gauge mount?

Mechanical gets my vote, too. They're cheaper, very accurate, and function great.

gresswj,

We sell 90% mechancial, they work are reasonably inexpensive and there are lots to seletc form. The electric that use a stepper motor like the Auto Meter Cobalt, C2 Nexus, Lunar and NV series are much more responsive and accurate, but they are costly too. Check our site too take a look at the different ones, we have all the Auto Meter, Isspro and Dipricols with pics etc.
