Can anyone tell me if I can purchase a new or used wiring harness. The clasp or plastic latch that secures the plug to the top of the injection pump is broken. To remedy it, I secured it with a zip tie. Any Idea as to cost or if it is even possible? Thank You

Accurate Diesel sells the IP wiring harness. This is the harness that hook up your PMD, IP and the ECM together. IIRC, around $25. That is Stanadyne harness.

I am not sure if that is what you want.

Other, may be Kennedy Diesel (site sponsor) but you have to call him to check see if he has it. He offered it to the forum at one time in the past.

Thank you for the response. The plug clip that broke is on top of the IP - I have heard it called the Encoder Sensor - Its about an inch or two behind the fuel shut off solenoid. The harness seems to come from the firewall. I don't think it's the same set that connects to the PMD, but I could be wrong. Thank you

Check this doc, that is the picture of the IP harness on page 1 not under the manifold, just for reference.

Encoder terminal is broke. You don't need a wiring harness. You need a new encoder (optic sensor.)

Plastic zip tie will work fine.

Thank you for the response - The clip that broke is on the male end. I guess I'll just use the zip tie.

you can get just the end from GM. it comes with a few inches of wire I thnik it was about$15.00. If you have a Pin Kit you can remove the wires from the original and reinstall them in the new end without splicing. If not make sure you use enviromental splices.
