Look at www.kennedydiesel.com for dyno comparisons with different tuners. It all depends on if you want to clear codes(programmer) or power on the fly(plug in module). I prefer the programmer over the plug in module, if your only going to use one and not stack at all.
I have both predator and hypertech, It depends on what your expectations are. For your first programmer the hypertech is bad ***, then you will get bored and want to step it up. Hyepertech is just fine, but I run my predator and store the hyoertech incase the predatorhas to be repaired.
