Has anyone had any problems (or positive experiences) with transporting a golf cart in the truck bed (short box)?

It would be nice to get some insight into any problems I might expect before I pick up this cart I bought.

Thanks!

nope no problems just use 2 straps and criscross them if its lifted then you might have to wiggle the tires back and forth to get it in between the wheel wells. have done this many times and no problems yet

I know and older couple who takes their cart to local fairs like this. He got some ramps out of Northern tool magazine. Little strap hookes to the bumpers so they dont flip out supposedlY (little little straps) and you got to takea decent speed goign up the ramps to get up them. Scares me to death when he does it(Ive seen him drive before) when hes scooting up them ramps at a good clip like going through the bulk head or a ramp kicking out , tailgate strap breaking etc etc but so far no problems. He had a full electric cart and it ddint have enough 00mp to make it up the ramp unless it was fully charged but his motorized one goes up there no problems.

You could back down into \a steep ditch and load that way as well.

If the golfcart is lifted or you have some curved ramps you shouldn't having a problem getting it on and off. If it is stock height and you have some straight ramps watch the clearance under the rear diff. I used straight wood ramps one time to unload our stock one and heard a nice clunk. Took a good chunk out of the plastic tailgate endcap. Kind of made me mad:( .

No problem, and curved ramps are a good idea.

My brother and I actually just lift our yamaha cart and put it in the bed by hand!!

Thanks

I really appreciate all the feedback!

I bought one off of ebay, and I'm going to pick it up tonight.

I feel ALOT more confident about all the 'little things' that were unknowns until now (I am really glad no one shared any HORROR stories on this! :) )

Thanks again!

I have hauled a cart many times in my SB, set the brake and use some tow straps and you will be fine.

Yep, exactly.

Done it a few times with my 06 2500 CCSB. If the cart is a 4 seater with rear steps you probably can't shut the gate. Normal 2 seater "Golf Cars" will fit with the gate closed.
