Is it ok to change out the Dexcool and replace with conventional antifreeze such as Prestone ? thanx in advance, bob

Thought I would bump this up, I'm curious also. I'm not to sure/confident in the dexcool either. Can we change to something that GM won't say voids the warranty

I don't know about the waranty bit, but when I put the new motor in my '95 Cougar, I'm going to replace the radiator and heater core, and use Zerex G-05. I've heard some very good things about it. Only problem is it is Chrysler and Ford approved, but not GM. Also, some European cars use it...
