the edge will defuel when it senses slip but at that point it's too late. Damage is being done. The predator on the other hand only uses the defueling that the ECM commands. You are more likely to limp the trans faster with the Predator than the Edge but both have the capability of toasting clutches.
Predator 2.0 definately gives more smoke than the edge since it adds no boost over stock. The 2.02 I don't know about but I imagine it smokes less than the 2.0 since they added boost.
