All i can say is WWWOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW! Just installed the 225/390 tune. I must be running out of fuel at full stomp in 3rd gear, because it allmost feels faster at 3/4 than full is this true. Way faster that S/C (bigger tune) and the shift is way better.:cool2: Can't wait till the boost controler comes in.

You would have to log desired rail pressure vs. actual rail pressure to know for sure...But at that power level, I bet a lift pump will help you...

Just installed so anything over 1/2 is a little more hard hiting but with some time it will be all good. Time for Trans go this weekend! I'll look at a tranny after i limp it a few times:( .

If anyone knows this is used so i don't know how up to date it is. The speed limit only goes to 135mph. Not that i need to go that fast:D .

I'll have to do a search on how to log the rail press.

Someone with GM Tech II experience will know, but I believe that will do it...EFI Live does it as well...

Just installed mine tonight. The engine lite came on right off the bat (C106 or C160) I cant remember the exact code. I installed the 160Hp tune. It woke the beast up, but was doing some really crazy shifting. I hope it's because the tranny had just been reset. It would go 1,2,1,2,3,4 is this a normal thing for a fresh tune?

First off.......if you flog on it in level 3 or above you will piss off your trans more than likely after some time. Mine was just starting to show signs of damage when I pulled it apart. The truck shifted fine but it was a matter of time before something got smoked. This was driving agressive in level 3.

It will take forever for it to train and start shifting normal. Do the trans reset or fast learn or what ever they call it when you switch power levels. This will probably help. I called and talked to PPE becasue it didnt feel like it was reseting the TAPS(I thought thats what it did) becasue it felt the same. Joe informed me that all it does is put the trans into a fast learn so it wount feel different but it will speed up the process. All that shifting sounds strange though.....nasty shifts yes....but bouncing around

You can "log" rail pressure with the PPE but you can view what its doing. Probably be best to have someone else watch it or drive as watching a screen while yor driving like a fool probably isnt safe ;) Level 6 wont work with a stock fuel supply in my expereince. Level 5 is boarder line in my expereince. Still could use it though I bet.

My truck threw a 106 or 160(cant rememebr) but it was something to do with MAF? It did this on the dyno. Never saw it before. Told Joe about it(he was at the dyno)

They also just recently came up with some updates.....I think 1.1 is the latest but you would have to ask them.

Probably should block your EGR as well IMO if your running something that makes more boost than stock.......

jstrese, let me get my facts straight, your trans is currently 100% stock? Also, how were your EGTs on the 225/390 tune? Thanks in advance.

Yes trans is 100% stock. I'm looking to put in the Trans go kit this weekend. I'll run this tune till something gives. Why spend the money on a trans till you need to, just my thinking( my buds think i'm nuts ). The temps are high. If i roll onto it at the end of 2nd gear, full 3rd into 4th i'm at 1500-1550. A little high but i might call to see if there is an updated one.

Any big tune is going to be freakishly high EGTs.

Just a transgo isnt going to do anything. I think the fact that you dont have lift pumps is saving ya.

Why not smoke your trans in the first place? Becasue you could build it strong enough to live and use some of the stock clutches if you didnt fry em. But if your planning on going with a complete unit or like a stage 4....well beat the snot outa it and hope it dosnt leave you sitting on the side of the road. You may totaly fry something and be stuck sitting.

Try running level 5......probably pull harder with no lift pumps ;)
