hey fellas,
i'm in the market for a dmax right now, and i'm kind of putting the cart in front of the horse i guess but i want fairly moderate power, no drag racing or sled pulling but a "fast" daily driver truck. i see that a ppe stage 2 tranny is about 2200 dollars so how much rear wheel horsepower can i make and not hurt anything, and also could i get some suggestiongs on what kind of programmer, box etc i could get to match this type of tranny upgrade.

I would go with a SUNCOAST III or if you are wanting to spend HIGH DOLLAR go with an ATS EXTREME. A programmer or chip to with is maybe an Edge Juice w/ATT moniter or Quadzilla Stealth Tuner. I hope this helps you out man.

I got the banks, but scared to run it on six.. Id just hate to limp the tranny. Some peeps do it and dont mind. Each to their own.. From readin' on here, only about 65-90 hp is all the tranny will take. Then again each tranny is different.... There are some credible vendors on here that will steer you in the right direction. If they dont, someone will hollar, so what ever you do and feel you have a question, just run it by DP and we will be glad to help.

CHRISTMASZ - Any worthwhile modification to the Allision requires removing the trans. I see that the PPE Stage II kit contains C2 and C3 clutches/steels, in addition to the Transgo Shift Kit. This is fine if you know that your C1 and C4 cutches are in good order--if there not you'll experience longer down time while you order required pieces.

I'd recommend getting one of there kits (PPE) that contain all the pieces or a Suncoast Stage III or IV. My .02

how much is a clutch pack say c1-c4?
