So Im ready to pick up a tuner for my new 07 LBZ. Question is, Do I go for the Edge and stack the PPE later, or should I just get the PPE and forget about the Edge. I'll be needing to adjust for tire size, so Im leaning toward the PPE now. I would like to monitor my pres./EGT's but im not against Mech. gauges. Will the PPE clear codes or will it just tell you that they are there. I've read of people getting the PPE boost controler. Is this something I should also pick up. Thanks!

I tow a 26' toy hauler to Pismo and camping. Someday I will be pulling a 10K lb race trailer again. I do have a speed addiction, and like the "more is better" philosophy. I've already caught myself spanking a newer GT mustang, and loosing to my buddys 02 Mitsubishi Evo, with under 2k on the odometer. I cant see spending 4-5K on a trans that is new though, so it will be a while before I go balls to the wall. Im picking up my new rims and tires tomorrow, so I will need to adj. the speedometer.

Get the PPE and some gauges. You dont HAVE to run it on the High settings but at least you know if you ever get a tranny you already have the programmer that will net you some very impressive ETs. I just got the HOT + 2 and WOW never imagined my truck breakin the tires loose at 40mph.

Get your check book out :D Your in for a ride thats better than sex and more addictive than the best drugs out there.:eek: I would go with PPE tuner and start ordering your other goods like a trans, turbo, PPE Dual fueler, on and on. Oh ya you'll need more tires and a good lawyer.):h

Ok, so PPE tuner it is. Should I just get the Hot2 or upgrade/reprogram later? Do I need to block and finger the EGR before install of the PPE. Last but not least, yes or no on the Boost controller.

all the above egr blocker will keep the oil cleaner and with higher boost you can push the egr valve open,boost controler is nice but not needed, fuel rail shim kit, exhaust, gauges, trans, cage lol like Tony said it doesnt take long to spend some money on these trucks and its almost better then sex atleast they dont talk back that much

No need for the EGR code blocker now, We have that taken care of in the software as of a couple of weeks ago... Boost contoller is a nice feature but not necessary unless you want to controll boost on the fly.

What happens if you have a finger stick and load up a PPE program that takes care of it?

If you stack EGR delete equipment do you get any more hp? ):h (jk;) )

Along with adding an airplane wing on top of the tailgate, some different color ground effects, spray paint the hood black, and a 10" diameter tach, you should be good for an extra 100 hp easy :rolleyes: .

I would like to know if the ppe will work for egr delete with the stick in place also. With no cat if I remove the stick, use the ppe, and later have to return to stock for some reason it will throw codes again. Can the ppe disable the egr without removing the stick or will the stick cause a conflict?

so on my lbz i can put the intake on and remove the cat(for off road purposes only;) )and not get codes?

The Hot +2 has 6 power levels, so you can run it at lower power settings with a stock trans, and when you upgrade the trans, you can load in a hotter tune.

The PPE on 6 puts out more power than any LB7 or LLY tune bar none.

The power the ppe puts out is amazing!!!!!!!!!! my jaw dropped the first time i hammered it
