how are the heads? they still flat? We had an H-2 that we put a Dmax into and while testing a rock went into the radiator and it overheated. slightly warped the heads. Not enough room to mill either.

ours was initially caused by an overheat. after replaceing the radiator it seemed ok until I found that hoses ROCK HARD after sitting overnight. On the extended warrenty thing!!! GMPP MAJOR GAURD is the best one for the GM owners. Zero Deductable. It is covered by ANY GM dealer in the Nation. I have had customers call and give GM the riot act and GM folded and gave them a contract for free or even at a MAJOR discount. Call customer service in your owners manual and start a case on it. Tell them everything that has happened to the truck since purchasing it and that you have been a loyal GM buyer for YEARS!!!!!!!! Then if you have them, make copies of ALL of your maintenance records and warranty visits to your dealership and tell customer service that you have all of them and will send them if needed. (they really don't because they can look up warranty on GMVIS). Keep bugging them and even tell them if the dealer is being slow about it or trying to replace items that are not the cause or suspect cause. Don't stop complaining about it. If your truck is still under warranty then tell them you know about the CSI survery and at that time it would not be good.. GM is very hard on the dealers for the CSI and if the dealer is signed up on the SFE program then that dealer WILL loose a lot of money each quarter if they don't meet certain criteria. The dealership that I just left in October missed the SFE $ last quarter by 1 point. That meant they lost out on $250,000 from GM. You can bury your dealer if you need be or GM. Just don't give up and GM will fold..

Yeah, convincing the dealers to fix your trucks can be real fun at times...I wonder if G.M. would get off their fat rear ends if they had to provide the same replacement vehicles while yours were down...The last time I had a G.M. vehcle in the shop for an extended period they gave me a ford escort to drive, pathetic.

GM policy is that if you own a truck and your truck is still under factory warranty they are to give you a truck to drive. not going to get a DMAX but you will have a truck. Also if your truck is still under factory warranty you are not supposed to get a non-GM car to drive as a loaner. They have a contract with Enterprise and it also states in their policies and procedures manual on CD.

According to GM you are supposed to be driving another truck. That is in their policies and procedures CD. Have your service advisor do his job and read it sometime. When I was an advisor at the Cadillac/HUMMER shop here in town, I went out of my way to help get people into vehicles that they liked or needed. GET AFTER THEM AND DON'T STOP. Are they giving you a hard time with the mods that you have done? My shop here in town gave me a hard time because of the exhaust. Said they would not do anything to it until i replaced the stock exhaust.

take pics of it and post it. could you also take pics of the phantom cat? I was thinking of gutting mine and installing it inline with the set up i have that way they still think it is there.

I've got the pics of the intake and EGR already. Just waiting on Chris to resize them and send them back. The cat turned out good. My dad and I took a piece of angle iron and made a point on one end. Then, with a 6 or 8 pound hammer started going at it. Took an hour or so to get it all out. I'll take some soon and post pictures.

I was thinking of cutting it in half and gutting it and tig welding it back together. that way i can slide my 4 inch from the downpipe thru it and it can meet up to the 5 inch and look like a cat back or make it look like an aftermarket cat
