anyone else with an 01 or 02 hd have a grill that the chrome is peeling off i thought mabey by now they could have a decent grill

my 06 with 3500 miles on it got a few rock chips and is rusting and peeling. wasnt impressed. rock chips like a mofo on the hood too. took it back to the stealer to ***** so they are replacing the chrome bumper bar for free. as far as the chips they say im SOL.

The 01-02 HD grille's have a lot of problem with cracking chrome. The way the center bar is molded, it tends to flex in the same spots. I tried to buy a grille on ebay, but the shipper didn't pad it, so it arrived with a broken center bar. Called the stealer.........they don't sell just the center bar for this grille.

the bowtie on my 03 is getting funny. where can i get a new one or a custum one?

i used that chrome tape like you put on the bottom of your truck to cover my bowtie it looks good and its cheaper than buying a billet one

You can buy the bowtie from the dealer. Around $30

My 02 is just starting to peel (very tiny spot). I see one driving around that has the billet inserts and the chrome has been painted to match the truck. Looks sharp!!!. That might be an alternative for the peeling chrome.
