I was wondering how difficult exhaust brakes are to install and are they worth installing for average driving "not hauling or pulling"
Thanks Jon

Jon:

The difficulty of installation is directly related to the individuals mechanical ability and patience. Patience being important to not try and rush the project. As a Pacbrake dealer, the supplied instructions are quite explicit with details and a lot of pictures to make reference to. Though not truly designed for everyday use while running solo, you will receive the benefit of extended life of your brake pads and repair. Their biggest intended use is to aid your factory braking system when towing or loaded in some fashion so in an emergency type situation, you will still have 100% of your service brakes to stop. I personally tow over 14k on a regular basis, and wouldn't do so on a diesel without it.
