I had my 02 throw up P0700, p0841, and p0870 about a week ago after it sat in 20 degree temps without starting for a day and a half. I let it warm up and cleared the codes and it was ok. This moring it is threw up p0700 and p0841 on startup. Its about 6 degrees out but it had only sat for about 12 hours. I know ther is a drainback problem on the stock allison torque converor but it didn't sit idle that long. Could this be an nsbu problem?

Sounds like it lost prime after start-up. This is different from the drainback issue. I'd check your fluid level at 180F and make sure it's at the Hot Full mark.

Thanks for the help. Got the trans up to about 160F and it was reading full on the cold mark so it looks to be a quart or 2 low. I'm takking it in tonight for a full flush and filter anyway so hopefully that should fix it.
