Its a sign of bad glow plugs. After months of seeing this code, it is finally starting to affect me, with a rough idle.

so i guess i need to bite the bullet and pay to get it hooked up to the tech 2 scanner huh? i still think it may be a glow plug or two going bad cuz sometimes the wait to start light stays on as if it were cold even after its been warmed up, also noticed sparatic rough idle, it comes and goes.

This code ended up being a bad glowplug CONTROLLER for me....
X2 on the Controller, that what caused my P0380 as well; however, search on heare for glow plugs. Several have replaced their glow plugs and/or glow plug relay as well.

Remember to remind your dealer, before you pay, that the glow plug components are covered by the emission warranty as well. You should not have to pay the $100 deductible.
