Glow Plug/heater circuit "A" Malfunction

I plugged my truck in for a couple of hours, 22 degrees outside, started truck like always and waited for the voltage meter to jump up, never did, really dim lights, like the glow plug relay is not kicking out,
Question: Where do i start to try and fix the problem, or does someone think it is the glow plugs themselves,

i noticed too the other night when i plugged the bock heater in, I heard a weird clicking sound in the center of the engine, did not do that tonight though when i plugged it in

Seems to be pretty common, relay swap should do it.

Yes, i just found another post with the P0380 code that someone else had, seams to be a common issue on the 02's after reading the threads after a search on here, I just replaced the glow plug controller, about 10 minute switch out and seams to be cycling great now, i did here a rattle on the drivers side for a little while when it was cold out, now it seams to be gone as well, could have been the controller shorting out over a period of time.
