High fuel rail pressure doesn’t necessarily mean an electrical problem, an electrical problem will set a circuit related code too that would have a higher priority than the rail pressure code. Most times a P0088 (or 87) it’s a hydraulic (fuel) problem. I only suggested checking connections above because I’ve seen it before and it will not always set a code, depending on what connection is incorrect.
