Threw that code tonight, changed the fuel filter, runs great now. but my question is, it got cold here in south eastern pa over the past week. i use total power fuel addative, i havent put it in the tank for several weeks until last sunday. when i took off the filter, noticed a large amount of algae. could it be that the total power broke the algae off the sides of the fuel tank and it just now caused my filter to clog? or should i drain my tank?

Thanks!

Alge is a wicked thing to have in your tanks and a real pain to get a handle on looks like your in PA, pry cold right now. Dont know if you have a heated shop to work around or in, but for right now Id keep a fuel filter under the seat or in the box, small amount of fuel and a fuel wrench from merchant auto if you get stranded and wait till spring. Then Id either clean the tank if you can and run a few tanks of biocide, like the product kill em (thats waht its called) through there to make sure you got the alge dead.
