ordered Juice and monitor today

Well i ordered the Edge power juice and attitude monitor today, the word from juice as of yesterday is that the monitor will be available by the end of the month. I think i got a smokin deal from this place called www.super-chip.com (not super-chips) it was $684 total( $584 for the juice, and $100 for the monitor) on limited time offer, basically they said the special will be off within 2 weeks of the monitor being released so if you want a good deal act quick before the deal is gone! The quadzilla was the other one i was looking at but for the price and the capability of the juice and all the good things i heard from everyone on the juice i had to go that route, they say it also includes the pryo for the exhaust and that it picks up boost from the ECU of the truck

Hopefully it will come in sooner than they think (yeah right..)

I want to get the Quadzilla so I can reprogram my tire size but I would really like to get the Juice w/ the attitude. Is there another way to change tire size? Does the attitude monitor tranny slippage?
Wow, that's a heck of a good deal!! Getting together with another friend who has an 02 DMAX and wants to check out the Juice...kinda like a try it before you buy it thing. I told him I didn't want to have to fight him to get the box back after the test drive!!!

I will let him know about this, 'cause I know he'll want one. All it takes is one ride!!

juice with attitude is supposed to be able to do tire re-size, along with 0-60 and 1/4 times like the G-tech does, it has a lot of goodies. The juice monitors tranny, not sure that it will display it on the monitir but you can adjust the amount of de-fueling on shifts with it supposedely also??? there is a post on www.pickuptruck.com from some edge dealer thats supposed to dyno this combo today with the attitude, some of the features ar elisted in his post.
If all that is true Im sold. This is like an answer to my prayers!!! So did you already pay for it and just waiting for it to come? Any other info you could pass along would be great.

Yeah 4x4 man, I wish i knew someone with the juice so i could try it out. Thats why im depending on you guys to tell me how it is. Ive never been this antsy to try something.

Agreed. I didn't have anyone local (that I knew of) that I could get a ride in either. After all the positive posts on the Juice, I figured I couldn't go wrong!! Funny I have been antsy for my friend!! Both our family's are getting together tonight, while the ladies are inside doing their thing, we'll be outside toying with the trucks. It is amazing how slow time can go by when you are waiting for something!!

I just want to roast someone else's tires for a change!! I need to start up a collection from my neighbors each time they want to see some lines...

No matter which box you chose, you will be pleasently surprised with the performance of the truck.

Love where you mounted your pyro Bob! Have you been happy with that location?
byby,

i ordered it but have not paid for it, they do not charge until its ready to ship, since it will not be ready for 3 weeks they will not charge me for a while, they said they would send just the juice box if i wanted, and then the monitor when it arrived but i would rather have it all at once and have the pryo and boost guage in to make sure nothing is going to get hurt.

I have ridden in a juiced truck but it also had a duramaximizer on it stacked and a 4" exhaust and ATS tranny, its my buddies truck in Denver runs high 13's so far at 5500ft+ alt, but he is hooked up with ATS diesel so he has all the inside info and goods to make the truck fly! His truck was actually more fun to drive than my 13.0 sec Mustang on the street, something about a 7000lb truck putting a spanking on Camaros and Mustangs made it a lot of fun to ride around in, it is rough on tires though!!! He now runs TST stacked with something else, but he has all the tranny stuff to take it and does trannies for a living so he does not care if he hurts parts it only take him half a day to pull it apart and make it like new again.

Mike,

I gave up waiting for the Attitude. I was hoping to put it on at the end of May before our trip to Vegas to see my parents. But it kept getting pushed off.. That is when I decided to just put an EGT gauge on and be done with it. I bought the Juice for more power to tow our 5er, so I couldn't use it safely until I had something.

Currently I am running stock exhaust, but hope to get a 4" soon. Was thinking about getting Summit Racing's new 4" system, but looks like this Bank's group buy website is gonna be hard to pass up for only a couple of hundred more.

The wife....well let's just say as long as I do upgrades in moderation she doesn't seem to mind.. She was very pushy for me to get an EGT gauge after I bought the Juice. Now that she see's the temps getting hot pulling the camper, she is now pushing to get a 4" exhaust before next season!! Now to think of some way she can see that the stock shocks suck so I can get some Bilsteins on there!! Second fuel filter...mag hytec diff cover...it never ends. These forums will make you poor!!!!

Mileage seems to be the same with the Juice, however the Driver Information Center mileage calculator is off. It reads higher mileage than I am actually getting and shows me not using as much fuel as I really am. Oh well, I guess this is common with these boxes. I seem to get right around 17-18mpg on my work commute which is mostly highway but filled with construction. No in town numbers as of late so I couldn't tell you what it gets there. 19.5 was my best mileage coming back from Vegas.

Thought the other post was getting a bit long so...

It took me a while before I could decide on where to mount the gauge. I didn't want the A pillar mount, didn't want to mount in the over head cubby as that was where I put the garage door opener. It works out very well in that cubby. I got the idea from MDRAG on thedieselpage. He mounted a digital SPA gauge in there and looks slick. I did have to cut the back of the cubby off so I could tighten the thumb screws on the gauge that secure it to the plexiglass front. I orginally painted the plexiglass with a wrinkle paint, however it had too much texture. Tried bumper black and it seemed to work just fine. Took me a while to make the best fitting plexiglass front as well. I tried to make one sit just inside the cubby like MDRAG but couldn't make it look nice enough. So I made one that was the same size as the front of the cubby. Turned out excellant and have received compliments asking if it came with the truck when I bought it!!

No problems with glare, no need for an angle trim ring. Very easy to just glance over and get a reading.

I better stop, my posts are starting to turn into novels!! Sorry for being wordy!!

If you guys have never run a Box on your truck before I highly reccomend programing the lowest setting first..............drive for a couple days or at least 50 miles then incrementally increase the levels until you are at the top level.

If you go for the full monty straight out of the gate the Allison will have a fit..............
.

Gauges are an absolute must especially with the stock exhaust if you are going higher than a 60 hp increase over stock.

Yet again! Another good thing to know about break in!

Bob,

I just love how clean that looks!
Wanna make me one?
Would the digital one that displays both boost and pyro work the same? What do you think of that one?

Mike,

Many thanks for the compliments!! It is pretty easy to make one, and I have some extra plexiglass laying around that I bet I could make another one out of. A small plexiglass square can be purchased from any home store very cheap. Either way, let me know.

The SPA digital one would work the same. Only thing I have heard is that you would need to use an angle trim ring so you can angle the gauge towards you. I guess it is a little difficult to read from the side without one. There are people that like it and those that don't. For me reading a needle in a "range" seemed easier for glancing, I feared that the temp numbers could change too much and be difficult to follow on a hard acceleration. The other reason I didn't get it was because I am cheap!! It was a bit too pricey for me...and because I don't plan on any more boxes, I didn't feel a boost gauge was necessary for my setup.

Bob
Bob,

Maybe I should come up there for the fuel filter work...I have bilsteins on my 03 Chevy CC 4x4. A little test drive with you and the wife might just convince her!

Bob,

Great points about he digital. Made my mind up on that one! Do you know much about the pyro on the attitude? Is it going to be any good?

Apriciate the offer for the plexi glass. Ill probably make a quick run to Home Depot or something.

Another question... Have you gone in for any service or warranty work? Run into any problems? What do you do?

Mike,

Sorry I don't know anything about the pyro on the attitude. The latest I heard was you will still need to drill and tap the manifold to install the probe for EGT. You won't have to do anything for boost, I guess it is read electronically. I don't know if that is still accurate, so take that with a grain of salt. Edge products seem to be first rate material, so I would expect nothing less from them in any of their products. I am just a bit bummed that they keep pushing the release date further and further out. Oh well, the way they talk about it, and all the features it should be worth the wait for those interested in it.

I think I paid less than a dollar at Home Depot for my sheet of plexiglass. It was hidden in the back corner near the fiberglass insulation in this little wooden rack. I also used a 2" hole saw to cut the hole for the gauge. I then lined up the hole with the bracket I mounted inside the cubby and drew an outline of the cubby. Then I cut it, sanded it and painted it. By the way, I went to Wally World and purchased the cheapest oil pressure gauge I could find so I could get that gauge bracket. I couldn't find anyone that sold the gauge bracket seperately.

I have not gone in for any service or warranty work <<knock on wood>> since my one and only free oil change at 3k miles. I did talk with the service manager at that time and they had no problems with 4" exhaust and gauges but warned me about chips or boxes. I do not plan to see the dealer for any work, unless it is something that is too expensive to fix myself. But if I do, OJ gets left in the garage!! I am working on 11,000 trouble free miles and hope for many more!!

My concern with the attitude is whether it is able to be taken out of the truck easily. I think it would be very obvious if you had an Edge Monitor in the truck that there has been some type of power box added to the truck.

I spoke to Edge yesterday and they said they will start shipping in a week. If I understood correctly, all the features are read through the computer for the exception of the EGT. Pyro still needs to installed. As for the programming, with the "Attitude" you get the "Hot" program. So if my take on this is right, I send my Juice back with +-$300.00 and get the monitor with the "Hot" programming. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.....

I do not think the attitude comes with the HOT programing, the place i ordered it from said they do not sell the HOT juice??? Pyro does need to be drilled in the pipe. THe word from my place was that it will not be available till the end of september now...........

I do find it hard to believe that there is no spec sheet somewhere that spells out all of the features of this monitor, you would think it would be on edge's site months ago to get people interested....Edited by: gsxr1216
The standard program id the 90 HP/250 TQ--- Hot Juice is a programming update.

The boxes are all the same as far as I know, just the program
