My OPS needs to be replaced and I'm having trouble. On my buddies 93' 6.5TD the OPS is easy to get to and replace. On my 96' it seems alot harder, I thought this would be a 5 min replacement. On my truck it is located on the right side of th engine between the fuel filter and intake manifold. I removed the two fuel filter bolts and slid it a little out of the way. I can't even get the socket over the OPS because of the intake manifold. Do I have to remove the whole intake manifold? What am I missing here I thought this would be a quick job?

I had to break the old OPS to get it out. (socket fit right over then). When I put the new one in, I couldn't use the socket. Take the idea of the plumbers wrench.
