The book for my 2007 GMC Duramax Classic calls for API Service CJ-4 or CI-4 oil. The only oil that I have found so far is characterized as API Service CI-4/SL, blah blah.

The back of the bottle mentions MACK, CUMMINS AND ALLISON C-4.

Does this oil comply with the spec? The dealer will be doing the changes for now but I would like to have a bottle on board Just-In-Case.

The dealer just did the first change with 10W-40.

Moved to fluids...

I would ask the Dealer if that oil is Diesel rated, Should be 15w 40 or 5w40 synthetic..

IIRC only the LMM with all the emissions stuff will REQUIRE the CJ-4 oil.
I have seen the CJ-4 oil- Delo 400 15/40 in wally world, but I'm sure it is going to take some time to start showing up everywhere. The CJ-4 is backward compatible with engines that required CI/4.
Yes, the oil you have is fine to use in your 07 classic.
