Many threads here have stated that the filter media is made by Racor and just packed into the various companies can. Use anything other than FRAM
I use the Delco myself

Strictly AC Delco for fuel and oil, and Allison for the Allison. I feel that the AC Delco's are made very well. The Allison is also a very rugged filter. Just my opinion.

No to K+N.Get all your filters at Fleetfilter,a vendor right here. Bryan has either Wix or Napa Gold--prices can't be beat--buy a bunch and save on shipping.

I use Baldwin oil filters now.
When I run through this case of filters, I will likely switch to the Amsoil Ea Oil filters.

I sense a little hostility and animosity here. Is there anything wrong with AC Delco filters?
No and no.Did'nt you see the smiley toothy face? There is absolutely nothing wrong with AC Delco products.I've used them forever-------until recently when I saw the light and realized they're priced MUCH higher than other comparable quality filters that's all.

AC Oil Filter and Allison Tranny Filter on mine right now. If someone shows me some kind of scientific evidence that one is better for the money than the OEM Filter I might give it a thought. Does anyone have any evidence that an OEM filter failed or caused problems speak up or forever hold your peace?

If you seek out the right places, you can find AC Delco filters for the same or less than others. You must search and seek. I can't give to much info about where or how much because when I do I get spanked! In any event, the AC Delco filters as well as Allison filters, seem well made and of good quality. I have used Napa and Wix before on other vehicles, and had good luck with them. I have never seen a filter from Mobil 1 in my neck of the woods, and I have not tried Racor.
As for K&N, I thought they were overpriced.

AC Delco available at my local parts stores and lots cheaper than the dealer.
And, nothing wrong with K&N either. Good thing about them is they have a nut on the bottom of the filter. Sure makes it easy to take them off. I'll be happy to use any of the name brand filters in this thread ( but never Fram).

No you can't.When AC-Delco used to be available at K-mart and Caldor I think, sure I would buy them--this was of course before 2001 when the Dmax came around. If you know where to get a AC delco fuel filter for less than $19.56,give me a PM. Like I said,AC/Delco is real good quality--just too pricey when compared to equal quality Wix/Napa Gold/Baldwin,etc.I run Wix/Napa gold on both my on and off road iron except for my Cat engine because NOONE makes a better filter than Cat.

I bought oil filters for $8.00 each and fuel filters for $20.00 each on-line. All AC Delco.

As far as CAT goes, I won't deny that.
